The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can expect discovering which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
