'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
  • New contract talks could commence in the near future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to astound
